The band The Dark Believing is based in Schwerte (Germany). Their music is inspired by the old-school Swedish melodic death metal scene and darker, atmospheric black metal influences. The Dark Believing's music combines a sinister atmosphere and riff-heavy tunes with epic melodies.

 

Maik Althoff founded the band in October 2016 – when he wrote what would become their debut album. He recorded the final album himself in his home studio in 2018. The Dark Believing was released in December of that year. You can stream it on spotify, youtube or download it on bandcamp. The band plans to soon offer physical CDs, too, and will release a music video to "Useful Hate" in June 2019.
